Tianjara Falls Lookout
Where: West of Nowra

The walk to Tianjara falls is a short and easy few hundred metres return from the carpark and is suitable for small children. Tianjara falls are created by the Yarramunmun Creek dropping off sandstone cliffs into the valley below. There is a small fenced viewing platform that gives a great view of the falls and further into Morton National Park and the Ettrema Wilderness. If the kids are feeling barve, there is a section of the platform that gives you views below your feet through the metal grate and is best viewed after periods of rain – it’s a little daunting for some!

The cliff faces are also well known climbing spots, so look out and see if you can spot anyone climbing up the rocks, which is sure to be a little treat for the kids.
There are no facilities at the lookout.

Getting there: Tianjara Falls is located approximately 35km west of Nowra via Nerriga Road. Follow Nerriga Road until you see the signpost for the Falls on the left-hand side of the road. The road is sealed all the way to the turn off.

Can you recommend a walk?

If you have a suggestion of a walk we don’t yet have listed on the site, we would love to know about it. It takes quite a while to build up a list like this so your help would be really appreciated.  Just let us know a short description about the walk, what is great about it and where it is. If you like you can submit some photos to info@southcoastkids.com.au
We can’t wait to hear from you!
