Welcome to the Shoalhaven!
The Shoalhaven is bordered by mountains, coastal plains, hundreds of magnificent beaches, and gorgeous towns and villages. It is an easy 160km drive south from Sydney or 200 km north from Canberra. At South Coast Kids we think the Shoalhaven is simply one of the most scenically spectacular places to visit on the east coast of Australia with an abundance of choice for the whole family.
Rich in local culture, the Shoalhaven has many food, wine and arts festivals and events that have helped made it a popular getaway region. Or just take a wander through one of the many weekend markets. Foodies love the locally fresh produce and for those that love a good drop, the region offers many family friendly vineyards, and cellar doors.
Nature enthusiasts are spoilt for choice with many lakes and inlets, beaches, excellent tidal and beach fishing, boating and water sports, diving, climbing, national parks, excellent bushwalks and an abundance of native flora and fauna to discover. Whether you are a foodie, a nature lover or adventure seeker it’s your paradise playground.
