Welcome to Jervis Bay and surrounds!
Technically part of the Shoalhaven region at South Coast Kids we love Jervis Bay and the surrounding region so much we felt it needed a section all of its own. With breathtaking beauty Jervis Bay is one of the true gems of the Shoalhaven and the NSW South Coast and its value has been recognised by its National Park status and is reputed to have the clearest waters and whitest sands in not only Australia but also in the world.
South Coast Kids loves sightings of the resident pod of dolphins and exploring the abundant marine life in the many rock pools around Huskisson. With coastal, marine and hinterland National Parks the region is teeming with native wildlife. See kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, wombats, and many bird and animal species in the wild, not to mention the abundant marine life. Also one of the best places in Australia to witness whales on their annual migrations, humpbacks and southern right whales can be seen inside the bay.
The many bay and ocean beaches, lagoons, secret coves and hidden creeks are perfect for diving, swimming, kayaking, boating, fishing, stand-up paddle boarding and surfing. And don’t forget the fantastic bushwalking, cycling tracks, Indigenous culture, camping spots, clifftop lookouts and maritime heritage.
Take a look through the different locations below to see just what is on offer in this beautiful region.
