Drawing Room Rocks
Where: Berry / Kangaroo Valley

BE SURE TO READ THE CAUTION ABOUT THIS WALK BELOW

Now here is a truly unique adventure! The track to Drawing Room Rocks is uphill, uneven and can be overgrown. But let us tell you, it is worth the effort! You can catch glimpses over beautiful Kangaroo Valley on your way up, and then breathtaking views over Berry and down the coast at the top. It’s not just the views that are spectacular though – the rock formations at the top are worth the climb for themselves!

The reason this place is called “Drawing Room Rocks” is really quite obvious once you reach the top – you appear to be surrounded by natural table and chair style rock formations. Words cannot describe what they look like – you just have to go and check it out for yourself! Sky high tea party, anyone?

The walk takes between 30 minutes and an hour each way (depending on fitness levels and the kid’s willingness to climb!). We recommend long sleeved tops and pants as you will need to push through some bush. Proper bush walking shoes are also recommended as the track can be muddy after rain. You could also pack a jumper in case of wind at the top.

CAUTION: Drawing Room Rocks is not fenced in. This walk is therefore not recommended for pre-school aged kids, or kids who are likely to get too close to the edge. Please keep all children under a watchful eye at all times when in the area.

Getting there: Head over Woodhill Mountain from Berry, on Woodhill Mountain Road. At the top of the mountain is a turnoff to Kangaroo Valley – keep heading straight and do not take this turn. The road is now called Brogers Creek Road. Follow this road for around 100 metres and you will see a sign. Parking is very limited.
